yellow and red. We feel a kinship with France in Northern California as our similar terrain and climates lend themselves so beautifully to the growing of grapes, olives and herbs.It is with much excitement that we bring you news of one of our favorite
French product lines,Roger & Gallet! This line is one of the original lines we chose for our shop over 18 years ago, but it's history spans centuries. Three to be exact!
Roger & Gallet's rich and passionate history with fragrance and body care is diverse and always excellent. It is with pleasure that we take this opportunity to talk about the

The great adventure of Roger & Gallet started in 1695. Jean-Paul Féminis, who came from Italy and settled in Cologne, claimed to have been given the secret of a unique formula
for water with amazing healing properties known as Aqua Mirabilis Eau Admirable. It was patented by the Cologne faculty of medicine in 1727 and named Eau de Cologne.
In 1805, Jean Marie Farina, the heir to the formula for Eau de Cologne, opened a perfumery business in rue Saint-Honoré, Paris. He supplied the great courts of Europe. NAPOLEON was
a wholehearted user and had a boot flask specially made for him to carry in his boot. Roger & Gallet's Extra-Vielle is still made according to Jean Marie Farina's original formula of
natural citrus-fruit essences and aromatic plants.
The Extra-Vielle collection includes the signature round soaps which are available in two sizes, 100gm and 150gm, wrapped in pleated paper and which comes in a
Single Bar and
Three Bar Boxes. Deodorants in both stick and spray,
bath & shower gel, and just recently re-introduced,
moist towelettes, 10 in a pack!

The Traditional Range, currently includes 13 fragrances ranging from classic to contemporary with a new fragrance, Blue
Lotus on the horizon. Extra-Vielle, Lavender,
Ginger, Green Tea,
Vetyver and Bouquet Imperial have been created in a wide range of products including
Soap in two sizes available in both single bars packaged in a handy travel case, or in a beautiful 3 bar box, Bath & Shower Gels, Deodorants, Colognes, Body Lotions,
Candles and Towelettes. Not each fragrance has all of these items. There are also classic fragrances available in the soap selection only. These fragrances are,
Almond Blossom, Sandalwood,
Carnation, Fougere (fern),
Gardenia,
Lily of the Valley, Magnolia and
Tea Rose.

In 1997 Roger & Gallet launched the Gentle Nature range of products with the idea of enhancing the art of living by offering products that were not only dermatologically tested, but could be used by the
entire family. The soft, almost absent, fragrance of the Oat Milk range makes it one of the
most popular collections of body care in our shop. Body Lotion, Moisturizing Shower Gel, Shampoo, Liquid Soap and Shea Enriched Soap are all included in Oat Milk. Other fragrances,
Cinnamon Orange,
Fresh Fig, Honey,
Wheat Germ and Spice are all available in Hypoallergenic Shea Enriched Soap.
Linden Blossom and Pink Grapefruit both come in a small collection which includes Body Lotion
and Moisturizing Shower Gel. The Shower Gels can also be used in the tub as a bubble bath!

Another first for Roger & Gallet is their new collection for babies and children called Petit Doux Nature. Pediatrically tested, there is a
Petit Doux Nature Soap. Enriched with gentle organic oils this soap is specially formulated for the sensitivities of young skin. Being a mom of twins I loved the combination Body & Hair wash product that was available
when my babies were young. Soapless, so it won't sting babies eyes,
Gentle Body & Hair Wash for Children will not dry the skin or hair due to the addition of Sweet Almond Oil Extract. Dermatologically, pediatrically and opthamologically tested, but
never tested on Animals! My favorite new product in this collection is the
Alcohol Free Fragrant Water for Children. Lemon, petit-grain and wild rose come together in this simple solution. Great for women who want something light or work in a fragrance-free environment.

It was a sad day here at Hampton Court when Roger & Gallet switched distributors a few years ago and stopped importing their specialty fragrances for Men & Women. THEY'RE BACK! We can't tell you how delighted we
are that some of our most favorite fragrances of all time are back in the shop.
The Original L'Homme
with its fresh, citrus head notes, are created by a harmony of mint, juniper berry and ylang ylang and is sustained by woody notes enriched with spice and amber.
A fragrance with character, that is resolutely masculine. L'Homme Roger & Gallet Eau de Toilette comes as a spray. A collection of pampering products in this classic scent include,
After Shave Balm, a Wooden Shave Bowl with Soap and a separate refill, Rich Shave Foam created with therapeutic
results in mind as well as the elegant fragrance of L'Homme. Also on it's way is a grooming aid for the hair called Supple Hair Fixer. We expect this product to return
to our shelves within the month, if not within the week.
L'Homme essential is a contemporary twist added to the men's collection around 2002.
Refined yet rich with emotional dimension, this fragrance is easy to wear day or night, summer or winter. L'homme essential Hair & Body Wash is a great product for home, on the road, as a staple in your gym bag...Shaving Gel, and Deodorant in both stick & spray.
Another classic men's fragrance that has just resurfaced is OPEN edt. A truly masculine fragrance
with notes of tobacco, thyme, lavender and woods.

There are two women's fragrances in the specialty collection. Both are stand-out fragrances. Eau pour Soi is as easy a fragrance to wear as one could imagine. Your clothes
linger with the fresh fragrance yet intoxicating scent of Eau pour Soi. Also available in a
Refreshing Shower Gel. Last, but most certainly not least, is
White Resesda Natural Spray Eau de Toilette. Mandarin & Freesia combine with Reseda, Jonquil and Orange Blossom in the middle, while Musk, Woods and Ambrette support the bottom.
Truly a woman's fragrance. Also availabe in Perfumed Bath & Shower Gel.
